If still not able to log in, try to access your corporate email via Web Access from a browser.
Most companies will have this service available, it would be like mail.mycompany.com
Keep in mind that this will be third attempt. If you are not able to gain access to your email from your browser and you are certain that you entered your correct password, call the IT Support Desk at your organization. They should be able to determine if your account has been locked out due to multiple attempts, or if the service is currently not available.
Number of mobile devices for corporate email
For security reasons, and to reduce the 'risk surface' each employee poses for data breaches, corporations set a limit on the number of mobile devices that can have access to corporate email. Any device over the allowed number of devices will not receive emails until you bring the number under, to allow the new device.
For example, if your organization has a limit of 2 devices, and you currently have 1 smart phone and 1 tablet. You have reached your limit. No more devices will be allowed to retrieve email from the corporate email servers.
Then, you decide to buy a new phone. Before you can start receiving corporate email on your new phone, you must bring down the number of devices to allow for your new one to be added.
Call your company's IT Support Desk for assistance.
Is your company's email service unavailable / down
Even in today's world of high availability, redundancy across cloud based data centers, we are still subject to service outages. Be it email, banking, entertainment, shopping or utilities, these must be hosted in a location in the world. And that location is subject to equipment failure, weather and human errors.
